this is not the original arcade version. You can tell by the sound of fire. The original was a slap not a scratch. Moreover, the Grafix originals were a bit more detailed.

Oh, and music second round – which does not appear on the clip – is famous piano piece Beethoven’s “Für Elise”

The music is “Spanish Romance”, a guitar piece of 19th century Spain. The composer is unfortunately unknown.

The funny thing about Phoenix is the name of one of his bootlegs. it was called Batman Part II. Firstly, if this is “Part II” whatever happened to its prequel?, And the most obvious question: “What this has to do with Batman?”.

I dug my brain trying to remember what this game was called and what he looked like. I remembered something about the birds and half a planet. Glad I found it by chance. I wonder if the level Thet developed after seeing The Boss Emire StarBlaers comet. Thank you for posting this. Great memories!

This innovative game. The fact that you can wing your enemies, and then regenerate. . . I loved this game, although I’ve never been very good at it, because I never used shields. I was so obsessed with shooting.

I remember that on the second wave of each step you can fire in rapid succession. Not that it helped me, I sucked at this game.

I remember when I was 7 years, me and my friend steal quarters of laundry washers and dryers and go to MR. Gattis (pizza) and the Phoenix game, Zaxxon, Dig Dug, Pac Man, Star Castle. . . . . . . . . . . . . These are the Dayz!

This game was released in 1980 and was part of package Taito Legends for the PS2. “Phoenix” is a clone of “Galaxian” Bally / Midway in the United States and Namco in Japan. After playing this game, I would rather play “Galaga”. This game was also made in 1981, a year after “Phoenix” is released. “Galaga” was the aerial view as the previous two games arcade “Galaxian” and “Phoenix”.

Yeah, I’ve always loved Phoenix as well, although (* #! Shield Glitch! And you can click on my name to see a version of his homebrew vector for the Vectrex as well (the shot with the birds screen, of course;))!
