The PS3 is more nominal. . . There is all this talk of Xbox 360 RROD, but what about PS3? My PS3 suddenly stopped reading all the media. It is a little over two years and I really took care of him. Now I have to pay $ 150 for repair. . . Microsoft does not charge anything to fix my 360. The more people I speak, the more I realize that the PS3 is not very reliable. I paid $ 400 for a device to last for two years. . . Rating: 1 / 5

Not only was I totally underwhelmed by the menu and fat in the interface. . . I lost the best part of two days trying to get it to connect to my wireless network and the Sony remote control purchased separately. I made a number of research sites for support and was on the phone with Verizon and no solution at hand. Although unlikely, I received a defective unit, there are a number of extremely frustrated by the difficulty of establishing such a wireless network. If you can not run an Ethernet network at the back – proceed with caution. Note – my kids have a Wii and I was able to set that up in under 10 minutes and it works perfectly with our home network. Assuming you can get a hard drive of 250 GB for $ 50 isn’t it really a bargain, you’re much better to pull the 120GB and save you money. 120 GB is actually a ton of space and anyway most people have struggled to fill even half of that. Rating: 3 / 5

PLAY STATION 3 / 250 GB ~ The recipient is an experienced player and I felt just horrible when the excitement went down the drain. . . . New and out of the box an “error” message has arrived and the PS3 was unusable. He called Sony who told him he could send it to them and they would fix it or send a “reconditioned”! (What the heck?) I had to pay for a new one, with an additional $ 350. 00 accessories and games and they “send a used / aka” broken “box in 6-12 weeks! Well, the PS3 is packaged in transit and when it finally gets’ Back credited to my account, I will send him the $ $ $ to buy a new one. This product is better purchased locally and on the line. If this had happened in the first place, he could have taken immediately, the gift exchanged for another new PS3 and we benefit! (* I do not know much about game systems, but the Sony guy told my son that his was not an isolated incident with this particular box). Hope this helps you! Rating: 1 / 5

My new Ps3 250g arrived on Christmas Eve with great enthusiasm. Turn the power button for the first time and receive this error message “file system hard disk is damaged and you will be returned” and then he asks me to format the hard drive. During the process of formatting the system hangs at 99%. 3-4 times I tried formatting the hard drive but still received the same error messages. On Christmas Day, I would be called Sony Playstation 3 tech support, and we went through a series of troubleshooting (no chance) . The Sony technician was unable to solve my problem so they will be sending a prepaid package to my house so I can post my console to fix / repair. He also mentions that this error does not occur for the system to use, and not any new system. (Did Amazon send me a used ps3 after I pay for a new one) What upset me most. . . is that I bought a brand new console and I had a bad back. In addition, the technology has said that if Sony could not fix my PS3 then they send me a Certified System Approve (not a brand new which I purchased STRAIGHTOUT plant), but a used one, one pre-owned. This does not seem right to me. I’m not happy “Side note:” I will try to return the item back to Amazon for a replacement side Sony.Rating: 1 / 5
